Boosting Immune Function

During this time of uncertainty and illness, having a strong immunity can be essential for staying healthy.   There are many ways to boost immune function with foods and supplement.  Eating immune boosting foods that are high in Vitamins and minerals can help keep your body strong!    Examples are eating Vitamin C rich foods such as oranges or red bell peppers to help support healthy white blood cells.  Combining that with garlic for immune boosting allicin and ginger as an anti-inflammatory properties, keeping your body healthy under stress is extremely important.  Eating healthy to support digestion, liver function and overall health can help keep you going, even when you cant get where you want to go.   I hope you can find time to enjoy this healthy Detox Smoothie recipe.

Detox Smoothie

Brightly colored fruit and vegetables are an excellent source of antioxidants, which are important when fighting off toxins in the body.   So instead of overloading your liver with alcohol, consider consuming a Virgin Daiquiri!!    Combining your daiquiri, with a healthy salad is a great way to boost your bodies detox functions, while providing some amazing nutrients.   This Smoothie is a great liver detox option and can be enjoyed any time of the year!

Pineapple & Ginger Liver Cleans Smoothie

- ¼ Organic Pineapple          - 1 inch fresh peeled ginger

- ½ Cup mint leaves             - ½ Cup Coconut water

- Combine all ingredients in a blender with ice, blend, serve and enjoy!!
