Animal Farm [ebook] by George Orwell

Fiction, Fable, Political Satire - This book tells the story of animals taking over a farm and building their own society. In this society the animals are meant to be equal, free and happy. But with power comes corruption. This book is based on the Russian revolution. I enjoyed this book because it shows how power can lead to corruption, even if the leader had the right intention in mind.

Historical fiction, Young Adult fiction - Liesel’s life is put in jeopardy because of WWII, as a result, Death is a part of her everyday life. One day everything changes when she finds a book, and then she begins to steal more books. This was an interesting read because it discusses the war by giving the perspective from Death, but Death is narrating a young girls’ life. The readers are being exposed to multiple characters' thoughts and feelings.

The Outsider (HBO demand)

This is not a typical police procedural as it weaves into the supernatural. Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. It was well acted and kept me on the edge of my seat with suspense.
