Beyond The Surface

Open video on YouTube

As we all continue to react and evolve in response to all that is happening, the Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery invites you experience our current exhibition either virtually or live in person, or both.

Beyond The Surface is a group show featuring Olga Campbell, Janice Beaudoin, Dorothy Doherty, Jane McDougall, and Ellen Pelto. The show features the work this group of talented artists made in workshops by artist Michael Shemshuk. The pieces all use wood panels and a wide array of everyday materials, built up and then revealed using a variety of practices.

Beyond The Surface explores exploration itself, and a video tour can be seen here. The show can also be seen in the gallery by appointment. Appointments can include up to 5 people, and can be made by emailing gallery@jccgv.bc.ca.

Serenity

In this new and complicated landscape, the Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery is going virtual, bringing you an exhibition straight from the gallery walls: Photo Club Vancouver’s exhibit Serenity.

Featuring the work of 19 photographers, Serenity is truly a timely exhibit. Each image presents a take on the concept of joy and calm. They find peace in the simple; they visualize the experience of wondering where peace can be found; they struggle to find peace in places that have always been peaceful, but now, at this moment, are something else.

Serenity is a journey - an escape, a memory, and hope for the future. Enjoy it here.
